Hoping to play with the damping adjustment on the front coil overs before the drive to Billing at the weekend, it's stiffer than it needs to be and some extra comfort wouldn't go a miss

Ideally to be done before Billing...

Figure out how to fit the bottom of an non airbag steering column to my airbag steering column

Clean up drivers seat and hoover interior.
Give the alloys a good clean as the inner rim is black.
Clean up the engine bay slightly

Then give it a clean - let's see how it goes as I only have two days of decent weather forcast

If your MFD keeps flickering on/off give us a message but as I have a spare one. Can't wait to see some pics of it at Billing, wish I was going!! Maybee next time when its road worthy lol

Cheers

I get the feeling it won't look great next to all the actual 'show' cars

It's still wearing it's original paint and isn't up to my usual standard yet It'll do though, no rush to get it 'finished'

Well this week didn't go to plan, been bed ridden for the last few days but thankfully managed to recover last night, sadly this means my pre-Billing plans have been ruined and didn't have time to do anything on my list

Also meant I decided that camping wasn't going to be possible as I can't bear the thought of BBQ food and beer right now so Billing is just a day trip for me now

Got cracking today and started well...

Shiny again

Then we went out to pick up some supplies and fill the tank, this resulted in returning home and this..

Turns out the pipe that runs from the filler neck to the tank is split both ends so as I brimmed the tank is was pissing out fuel

Decided the easiest solution at this point was just to pump out 5 litres into a jerry can and luckily this has fixed this issue

All being well I will be down there for 9am tomorrrow

Car made the trip to Billing without any issue, first decent drive I have done it and would do it again tomorrow, perfectly happy cruising along the motorway

Car was filthy after the trip down so treated it to a quick wash outside Billing

A few pictures of the car from the CS stand

Then, the main reason I had to make the trip was to pick up this...a genuine GM GSi rear quarter that I had ordered from a company in the Netherlands who where making the trip to Billing

Reason I bought this is because the car is clean but the only bad bits on the car are all limited to this r/h quarter plus it's had a bad repair at some point in it's life, with this I can get rid of all the nasty bits on in go

I have no date or timeline plan for the repaint and stuff but buying up the bits early on eases the cost and the hassle at the time

Show was spot on and the CS crew are great, brews, burgers and shelter Was my girlfriends first ever car show and she loved it so must be good

Good to meet you too mate, your Corsa is very clean and original and me you where certainly part of an elite Corsa GSi club there! There can't of been many other cars there where the whole show only had 3 of them

I'll believe Ian doing his when I see it

Finally sorted this, got my mate to dremel out the non airbag column for me and now it fits . I stuck it on last night but was too dark to get pictures, it's not 100% around the ignition but looks far better than having no cowling, plus I never liked the idea of parking the car with the cowling missing, little bit too inviting for any would be thief

Thanks mate! It didn't look too bad, just a shame I couldn't spend the days before it getting it really clean as it would have been much nicer then!

Hoping to do a few jobs this weekend...nothing interesting though

Cheers Mark

Quarter wasn't too bad I don't think for what it is, I paid £230 which I reckon is pretty good for a GM GSi one! I bubble wrapped it and put it in the loft today so it's safe and sound for when I need it
