Dunno, going to be doing a bit of work on it tomorrow afternoon and evening... Progress is slow, but still progress

Got 2 days work finishing off the sides of the car. Then a days sandning and dent fixing before paint... Need to do something about the arches too, not sure how Tom wants them prepped up, but it shouldn't be a lot of work.

I do work on my car, and I do work hard when I get round to it. Needed to help my Dad out today so couldn't do a full day on it, but got a side done none the less

Lost the windscreen, and all the other glass for that matter.

Got all the adhesive off too to start a fresh.

Rear o/s window out, this was hard work because I smashed this one out instead of cutting it. Apparently its an easy thing to do. I disagree.

Made sure all the adhesive was cleaned off too...

Worked on the o/s front door shut too. Needs some more stripper on it to clean it up nicely, but nearly there...

Did some of the boot shut too. Needs more Nitromors too, and some wire brush action. Need to buy a new one tomorrow as the current one has no bristles left after doing mine and Steve's car

A lot of the interior trim gets in the way when you need to do work on the car with the glass out. Hence why mine has over spray all over it SO I decided to remove the roof liner, pillar trims and the dash. Not finished doing the dash today, but will get it out before we go for paint instead of after now...

This will make some of you sick. All the tar matting on the roof of my car is hanging off. The bits still on there will peel off easily, but I'm keeping them on as I will be dynamatting the roof anyway...

As we have a spare roof lining I might see if I can impregnate this one with resin and see if it can be painted. Or I will not bother and trim in some leather or vinyl to match the interior when I decide what's happening.

Tidied the 'shop up yesterday too Makes the place seem a lot bigger...

It will sit in the shed and come out on sunny days and shows Ermm, it's gonna be a show car, so I will keep it nice, but I'm gonna drive it. Got loads of things that I want to do to it, like Porsche wheels and airbags. All in good time though, if they ever happen.

Are you still going to re-fit your old kit? (combat 2?) and paint it green?

Wasn't a Combat kit, I think the front bumper is a Hyper and the back is a custom one. But i'm still going to put it all back on. Not decided on the colour, could do it green still. Will find out when then paint turns up next week though

Yea love the colour yoy can get with them, there are a lot of Candy cars about though... Trying to find something that will be understated, yet still stand out at shows without being too lairy. If that makes any sense at all...

Is that back to bare metal? How do you stop it from rusting until its painted?

I remember when I was trimming my rear arches then left it in the garage over night as hadn't finished it and the bare metal had to started to get surface rust allready!

Magic I think. It's been bare metal for a year in some places and it hasn't rusted. Well, apart from on the places where some sweat dropped onto it when I was working on it in the summer, and where it got rained on when I left it outside I think the shells are galvanised, ot treated in some way, but if you cut through the treatment then they will rust. Not sure though...
