heard it's £25 a damper Barnes so I'll probably send fronts off after winter and rears off end of next year.

Yeah not much at all. Mines still catches the spring when you try and wind it up but fuck it.

Yeah not much at all. Mines still catches the spring when you try and wind it up but fuck it.
Didn't realise you had them mate, is the clearance on the inside of the front wheels OK?
Is it just a few smacks on the back then to widen the alcove they sit in? Ever wound them down all the way

had mine wound quite low never caught on anything. just looked daft though. its all about pre load and putting too much on the spring so you will get an awful ride quality etc. avo maybe make shorter springs for the rear.

A had have Avos on the rear. Never had them on the front a have GAZ all round now. Maybe a bit of a beating it will probably be on the one side due to Vauxhalls manufacturing tolerances. Just hammer it then sit them on and keep going till it does't catch then underseal it back up. Good suspension set up tho  Could wind them down till this height,after that the weight of the car doesn't have enough mass to keep pressure on the shock and keep them compressed.

I will run my GAZ at that height ^^^ they have longer springs so are always under tension. Wouldn't go any lower though,looks crap.

Could just get longer springs I suppose, will have a look into the cost of them
Edit: About £20 each so nothing really, do you know what poundage they are as standard front and rear?

175lb Rear - 250lb Front. Round about that anyway. Might be marked on the springs,mines were.

Springs are a touch tatty no writing on them what so ever.
Will see how I get on when I fit them tomorrow.
God knows what's going on with those nylon grub screws on the adjustment collars. Go in so far then get stuck and allen key just turns in them

Update
Fitted the coilovers today and all I can say is wow. Can't believe the difference it's made.
Far less crashy and bangy than my old set up and the way it holds when accelerating out of corners is phenomenal.
Being playing with the ride height and dampening settings all day and I'm nearly where I want to be. Back is about -80mm and front is around 55mm.
Did have a drive round with it at -120mm didn't feel to bad actually better than my old set up at -100mm.
No pics as they were all useless.

when it was -120mm ish.
Quite comical and looked shite, didn't ride too bad though and still had a fair bit of travel on the damper.

No its not its a C20NE sump gasket that includes the baffle.
