Do you consider a losing party propping up another losing party, with a load of other cobbled together losing partys a decent stable ground for a government?

So you really think that if it happened all the cuts would be in England and the rest of the UK would get off scot free?
I'd like a non conservative government just for kicks after seeing the whole of England voting for them, that would get right up a lot of noses

The options as it looks just now are the Tories and the Lib Dems or Labour, the Lib Dems, 4 MP's that are expected to vote with either party anyway, 1 Green and 3 from Plaid Cymru.
Labour has already stated they will hold a referendum on the electoral reform which appears to be the Lib Dem's deal breaker (along with the removal of Brown) so they seem to be in the driving seat.

lib dems and labour dont have enough combined seats to form a majority, they would have to use partys like the SNP and Plaid Cymru, just to form a Majority, thats not a strong position to be in at all

If they can count on the 4 MP's they normally can do then they'd only have to tempt the 1 Green MP and the 3 from Plaid Cymru. Sinn Fein MP's don't sit in parliament so they'd have a majority.
They wouldn't need the SNP or the Unionists in that case.

its still a bodge of an arrangement and one that imo wouldnt be as strong as a lib con, or even minority conservative, or even a majority labour goverment

Right I've had enough now.
I always knew that Labour were corrupt and this is just showing just how corrupt they are, clinging onto power with everything they have got.
They are so fucking arrogant they do not believe that they can be removed from power by the people and will do anything to prevent it.
Goes to show that the people have voted that they want a change but they do not give a shit what the people want.
If this Labour Government somehow manage to cling onto power with Lib Dems on their side then this country will go down the pan VERY quickly.
We have been loosing our civil liberties ever since 1997 hidden to the public by using terrorism as an exuse to pass these bills.
I'm ready to take to the streets.

Nick Robinson raises these two issues
品s it legitimate for Gordon Brown and Labour to stay in office, having lost this election?
品s it right for a new Prime Minister to be chosen, not by voters, but by Labour party members?
Labour are corrupt, they will continue to be power now for all time IMO.
We now living under a Totalitarian regime no better than Stalins Russia and anyone that voted Labour is to blame for this.

Does this ring true with how the country has gone in the past 13 years?
Totalitarian regimes or movements maintain political power through an all-encompassing propaganda disseminated through the state-controlled mass media, a single party that is often marked by personality cultism, control over the economy, regulation and restriction of speech, mass surveillance, and widespread use of state terrorism.

You are a typical Sun reader, whether you read the paper or not.
There is a constitutional requirement for Gordon Brown to remain in office, end of story. He is not 'squatting' in Number 10 or any off the other sensationalist pish dreamt up by chip wrapper journalists to sell papers.
You have Maggie Thatcher to thank for Scotland refusing to vote Tory as well btw. 95% of this country will throw a party when that evil and twisted old cow finally rots to death. But let me guess, she is your hero for trying to display a throwback to when Britain ruled with an iron fist across the world by engaging in the Falklands?

Hammer you have to admit, wether you agree with the tone of his comments or not, that he has some valid points, id be interested to hear your counter arguments? without the usual, you read the sun, your ignorant, your racist dialogue constantly being thrown at anyone against labour or liberalism

Yes, it is a constitutional requirement.

Maybe, maybe not. In legal terms it is perfectly fine as it happened, whether or not it is fair is a matter of conjecture.
