Are you weather proofing it too?
Is it Renovo you are using? I cant decided whether to spend £200 and do the roof myself or just bite the bullet and get a new roof

Iirc the z4's roof is 3 layers. The top layer is cosmetic and lets the water through, the middle layer is waterproof and the interior layer is for the warmth, so i'm unsure whether to do it or not.
I used the renovo stuff, cost me £30 for a 1 litre bottle and a few quid for brushes/masking tape. I would like a red roof but thats £££'s unfortunately.

just went out to paint my calipers and my wheels seem to have seized onto the hub. wtf?
the back wheels were quite difficult to remove when i fitted the springs, but the fronts aren't coming off at all
tried a rubber mallet but no use. wd40?

Seriously just hit them at each side and they'll come off. I've had wheels before which have been a bit harder to come off but they just need hitting a bit.
Nice work on the roof by the way, havnt liked much of what you have done before but that looks good, hopefully it'll last. I do like though how you're giving everything a go (apart from giving up with taking wheels off), just seen your grandads thread and it's obvious that he has a good mechanical mind, so there is hope for you one day Not the best car to go testing on but oh well lol

Of course its safe Ben, the top layer should bead off....... Allowing it to soak, is the breeding ground for mould.
