People who don't understand enough about it probably think it's just a guy jumping off a balloon.

i like my mate but he's such a billy bullshitter.
he also thought it was funny that i said i would never forget when he stepped out on that platform and jumped off.
some people are just up their own arse so much.

He'll have been the guy that called him a stupid wanker for thinking it was possible if he had died doing it.

Probably because it was constantly buffering and people missed the actual jump

Fucking brilliant!
Amazing to see all the behind the scenes.
Jealous of Felix, how cool would that be to do. Wonder how he was picked for it, didnt really say.

He was a world famous base jumper before this, and was sponsored by red bull iirc, so thats probably why.
It was also his dream and idea to break the record, not red bulls.
Fantastic documentary. Showing the suit camera footage of the spin was scary, showed just how violent it was.

Was surprised at how amateur and fractured the project build was cnsidering its high profile and budget.
Managers getting demoted then put back in when the new one quits etc etc
Was a bit like watching one of those american reality shows

i'd be the same if i thought my life was at risk
he was clearly uncomfortable with wearing that suit. he explained at the start that he loved using the air to glide and feel it on his skin, so wearing a suit took all that away.

I get that but he was being a right child at times. Then got all jealous when somebody else was training in his suit. Grow up ffs.

Literally was a guy jumping off a balloon, i don't think of that as a an achievement really.
I really don't feel the specialness of this, its just the current generation of people are all "wow like thats totally cool" with anything these days, all too internet for me.
I feel everyone is too busy "liking" other peoples things rather than getting on with their own stuff

When they showed the footage of joe kittinger sitting in what appeared to be a hot air balloon basket, I felt that was a bigger achievement
