Chaos round here this morning. Most of the schools are shut except my sons which is probably the most remote, embarrassing really, the teachers should be ashamed.

Lots of casualties at work, and delays for those that are at least trying to get in.

Just took my missus to work (she's a teacher) and then went on to my work. Snow proper came down between her school and my place of work. If they close her school, she's stuck there till 5pm

About a month ago two large bags of salt/grit turned up to our house from the council, We were like wtf, rang them up and it was meant to go to some bloke down the road. (not sure why he gets it), but council said its so he can do all the pavements around our street etc. So assume he has volunteered or something.

So far, nothing, he has done nothing, saw him go out for a walk down the fields with his dog, pavements are untouched.

Annoys me, as i'd bloody well do it.

Just go do it then..

Tbh, neither of you shouldnt do it anyway, if someone slips you will be the one to get sued. Do your drive, path to your door etc but dont touch the public paths, Just leave it.

If you go down to his house he's probably putting it in to smaller bags and flogging it to people to clear their drives with

as harsh as that sounds, you're right chris. done my path and driveway last night, left everything else.

although it would be difficult proving who cleared the snow.

I thought I saw something about that on the TV recently and basically they said that's a load of bollocks about getting sued if someone slips when you've cleared a path.

He probably is. Councils love throwing money away.
