Cheers ben. Might have a look into that next week

Had a spare hour or so yesterday so shot down to my mates garage (auto services on the formby industrial estate)
Took the drive shaft apart and fitted the new inner cv boot pressed in my new gear linkage bushPopped home and fited the linkage. Working quite nicely needs a bit more adjustment to get it to sit more central but thats not a problem atm.

Popped into vaux to get my castlated hub nuts and washers and disc screws. Ended up only getting the screws and nuts
As the washers are 4.50 EACH and i would of had to buy a pack of 10 because they had none in stock!

Neways driveshafts will be fitted on monday along with the brakes bled up

More progress

When I did my XE conversion, I had the same problem and when I drove the car the CV fell out. Turned out I'd bought some crap CV's and the end of the CV was hitting the middle of the diff.

Had to grind down the end of the CV quite a bit and then it went in properly and never came out again.

Nothing wrong with grinding the the end of a cv joint if it's been badly made like mine were. If i'd weakened it, i'm sure it would shat itself over the two years of abuse it was given as an XE and a LET.

Still stuck in the fecking box. Ive smashed it with a mallet and it wont go in any further atall. Now im trying to remove the fucker its stuck and will not come out. Whats the easyest way of getting it out concidering the fact the car is only on axle stands so cannot fit a deecent enough sized pry bar under there.
