They'll look fine Nic, once the car gets dirty you wont even notice a slight colour shade difference, rattle cans are the way forward

aye. half the L shape bits and other things were all rattle can jobs and they never really looked any different shades. if they do look proper shite, will get them done by bodyshop when i get the rusty bootlid fixed at some point.

The higher the grit the smoother? When do you decide to change to a smoother one?

went over it all with one level. then with another. once i had done 400 i primered them. let that dry, then went back over with 400 again, primered again, dry, over with 800 then paint.

todays scrap yard purchase

rear hub assembly off and ready to be made into a rear disc beam in the next few weeks. will clean surface rust off and give it some black hammerite once the plates have been welded on for the disc hubs.

that much is true . cant say how mine is on track with them yet but deffo feels better braking from 100+ .. on a private road of course .. still think i might need to bias the front more tho. but it doesnt lock up.

mine was ok for a while, then started to fade quite a bit. rear drums got very very hot hence the thought for a change. think i will just get an in car bias valve and do it that way. you set yours up on brake rollers first or just bias it all front then keep adding back in?

i keep debating pedal box still. cant really understand a major benefit of it for me really though. in car valve and a line lock for peel outs. might work quite well.

yeah i dont really see the point in a pedal box unless going for brakes so big the mastercyl wont be good enough. i like servo assisted brakes .. i used to have a polo years ago with no servo and it was scary sometimes
