Doing the crimbo beef in mine. Beef, ale, stock, onions and a few root veg. Will use the liquid as the base of the gravy.
Doing turkey aswell, but chickened out of putting it in the Sr, dont want to ruin it.

Doing a duck in the slow cooker for Xmas
Won't be using any liquid either just stuffing the duck with orange and rubbing it with some Chinese spices
Then will sit it on some veg and draw the fat off

Full pork crackling joint. Added gravy mix, peppercorns and cinnemon. Thinking of coating in marmalade and finishing in oven.

Whats the best thing to start with? Would love some meat that falls apart, ive never managed it with beef and so not sure what type of cuts to get?

Pork in my opinion.
In terms of cuts, cheaper the better. Braising beef the best, or cheap piece of pork

For meat that is super tender, lamb is the way to go. You can get tender beef, but a lamb shank will literally melt in your mouth if cooked right.
Im going to try cooking a bunch of game then put it in a pie.
