The production of each individual CD is what I was alluding to!!!!!
When you buy any physical digital media, you're not buying a CD/DVD/BluRay/whatever, you're paying for a license to use the data contained on it. You never actually 'own' the movie, album or software.
Things get worse with downloading digital media - your iTunes and/or Kindle library is gone when you die; you can't (legally speaking, according to Apple and Amazon's terms and conditions) leave them to someone else in your will, for example.

Yes that goes without saying. Tells you as much before the said film etc has even started. BUT, insert caveat, the production of a CD that are produced in vast numbers which is what I was kind of alluding to is cheap as anything. Obviously production/content etc etc etc you've explained.
Back to iPhone 6.... Wanting mine a lot now

Golf clap for the obligatory facetious twat.
Of course they won't, but they won't currently let you transfer that library of licenses (which is what you have bought - not MP3s/OGGs/whatever) into your kids' Google accounts either (at the moment; this may well change in the future). All digital content license purchases are for your own personal use, not for reproduction or public performance and non-transferrable.
That's not to say your kids won't take copies of your non-DRM content and enjoy it anyway; much like a previous generation probably enjoyed their parents' C90 mixtape collection. They'll probably bit torrent their own copies anyway. The point here is that you don't "own" any of your media, you're merely renting it until you die, and you can't currently transfer your licenses to a third party upon your demise.

Its shit, and theres a more relevant timely consequence.
I had an iTunes account with the Mrs, we shared it. Split up and want to separate the accounts but you cannot give/send/gift/transfer any of your purchases to another account. So they are locked to that iTunes account forever.
Dicks.

You can export the music from iTunes. If any of it isn't DRM free (only older purchases) you can upgrade it to iTunes Plus for a small fee.
Then just throw the songs on a hard drive.
Doesn't work for movies and apps though, unfortunately.

Ill have to look iTunes plus up?
You can get around it obviously by physically burning them to disk and inserting into a new itunes but that is obviously a PITA

I'm going to Apple store on Friday to have a look and see what colour I like. Can't decide between grey and gold.
What time is best to leave to avoid fan boy queues

I had a missed call from EE, phoned back but they were shut. Eager to know what they wanted to tell me! Hopefully that's it's definitely coming in, and not that it's been delayed for weeks lol.
