yup, look on the bottom pic. You can see the gaps on the nearest boards. You just cant see the far away gaps because of the angle.

we havent.... but it looks to have been down at some point in the past.

The new 'clean' bit at the bottom of the door is new. That was a window looking out from a bedroom before. The house next door looks to have been re-pointed more recently, and more elegantly that the back of ours!

you're going to have to be careful when you step out of your back door in winter. that decking will be very slippy.

It's about 4.5m or possibly higher now as the roof pitch had to be increased. Enough height for a car lift anyway

the garage next door is a large 'single'

Its roughly 6m wide by 7m long

I find it a bit daft that we have to have a larger pitch, when the one next door as not even peaked, and nearly bloody flat. Daft

starting to plan the interior of the garage...

Option 1:

basic option is two skyline sized cars with 500mm basic clearance all round (thats enough to get in out isnt it). Cars can be rejigged if needing to be worked on.

That will leave 1500mm at the rear for cabints/work bench and 1000mm at one side for decent access/storage. Thoughts?!

Option 2:

room for 3 cars....

4 poster lift with car stored on and raised/locked. Car stored under and car parked along side. Will be quite tight but a good option for long term storage of 3 cars. Not really ideal if using cars and working in the garage daily. Reduces storage space a fair bit.

Option 3:

Prob the 'cleanest' option. 4 poster in the centre with lots of room all round. Ability to store 2 cars too. 1 car on, 1 car under.

The 4 poster is movable so an option for more day to day stuff compared to Option2.
