Yer I ran the same on the back as it was naturally like that due to been lowerered. Just matched it on the front and it made it nice and neutral. Can always remove some at a later date but negative is good as the tyres will still be sitting nice and flat when your "on it" just dont want more on the back then the front as you know

btw can you not get adjustable top mounts? as this would solve the issue wouldnt it as the whole strut would be moved

ordered /\

front wheel off to get new tyre - yet more money! £80 at a guess

test piston - as far as you can go

dummy build so i can test clearances

ports almost done - run out of dremel bits

as i couldnt find my valves

had to remove them out a spare head, and spent another hour and a bit cleaning them!!!

to compare to a standard head

complete x18xe1 engine, got to strip down, to use bottom end

fitted some standard cams to the 1.8 turbo, which has now stopped misfiring due to high lift cams, and now runs sweet at 10psi

block stripped

bores good condition, just slight wear marks on all cylinder on both sides, as show in pick above

water pump imprellers were missing! all broken off, so engine wasn't 'fully working'

block is very oil stained, so going to have to clean it, to make me feel better

crank looks fine, not not as nice as my perfect z18xe crank i have

but the z18xe crank and oil pump are different, x18xe1 has 2 faces then fit on the pump, where as the z18xe is a hex, 6 sided

cylinder head is being CC'd too

decided not to use the x18xe1 engine, not to keen on the golden colour crank (has got hot)

but long story short, aquired a complete z18xe for free!! was knocking bottom end, crank was marked

but guess what, i have a mint condition crank from my other engine!!!

and my fucked engine is going back under vauxhall exchange

oh, and this engine had just had a new oil and water pump less than 1k ago!

safety devices cage bought
