Babylon A.D. - 6/10

Better than the reviews would have me believe. Mercenary given task of escorting a girl to New York from Russia. First half better than the last. Despotic Russia and a futuristic New York, was hoping it was going to be like the first half throughout a la Book of Ely.

It does leave a certain indelible impact on you doesn't it Robinio.

I found I had to look away from the screen a couple of times, plus it does punctuate itself with more than one 'open-moth' moment.

Like you, I was sat in stunned silence at the end. Kept thinking about it over the next day or so too.

It REALLY gets under your skin.

Favourite ever film. DW is fucking amazing.

He's one of my favourite actors Eck. He's like a latter day Sidney Poitier. I thought he was incredible in Training Day too. And The Book of Eli and Inside Man.

In fact, he's just plain bloody brilliant. I've never seen him do anything bad.

The miserables.

Surprisingly bearable. I thought it would be awful but after about 30 mins of struggling to listen to every word, I forgot it was a musical and quite enjoyed it.

Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen are brilliant, perfect for the roles.

I give it 24600 out of 24601.

agree with this; My mum is a Les Mis nut so I was brought up knowing all of the songs but Beth knew nothing about it at all. We went to watch it at Queen's Theatre last month and having seen the film definitely meant that she had a better indication of what was going on. Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen were perfectly cast IMO

Fast and Furious 6 was a good watch last night; I prefer the way that 4,5 and 6 have gone to the originals and even given the world's longest runway scene and a couple of other OTT scenes, it was still enjoyable. 8/10

Welcome to the Punch - 6.5/10 - Was an alright watch with a decent 'twist' but it constantly felt a little rushed and if something was missing from the plot. Tbh, i think the storyline would have been more suited to a TV series than a film.

Lockout - 6.5/10

Aside from the shocking special effects, notably the bike chase and tube scene it wasn't actually a bad film. Nothing original but fairly entertaining turn your brain off stuff. Twists towards the end weren't too bad either, if a little bit unbelievable.
