2.0 springs? i have a spax setup for a 1.2 at the moment, will that be suffice or do i need to change them?

depends how low they are, remember a 2.0ltr 16v lump weighs alot more than your 1.2!!

ahhh thats fine, i have 40 drop but it is more like 20 so hopefully the 2.0 will bring it down to more like 60

Lee, am i right in saying i have 40 drop but it is more like 20 so hopefully the 2.0 will bring it down to more like 60?

2 litre aint that much difference. if its dropped 20 at the moment expect it to be about 30 id say

lees engines are form the same person who supliers regal, cossvaux, wallace etc so your getting the same engine but for half the price regal etc charge

the engines and alll ancillaries are £450 the engines all run fun, if u have any problems my mate sorts them. but he cant guarantee thet aint gonna spit a con rod or anything like that

cost me £550 for a cav GSI.

sold the bodykit for £100,door cards for £30,front speaker for £15,springs for £35,exhaust for £90 and road tax refund of £27

.
now i have a redtop with a coscast head+f20 box, brakes and driveshafts for £253

oh yeah i still have the calibra leather seats that came with it, scrapped the rest of it.

Yeah, thats the engine.

BAsically, you saved yourself £200 for a days work of stripping. Always the advantage of buying a car and stripping it, just extra hassle that you do need to split everything and take it apart, then sort out a delivery druck to come and take the shell away.

Oh, the suspension question, im still running -35/-40mm Chassis dynamic springs (Not higher poundage) on standard shoxs till i can afford new kit.

Still, bouncy, but it works alright for now
