Ye, the CTR is still the best factory hot hatch out just now IMO

The C2 VTS will only be a 1.6 so you'd be expecting too much of it to be anywhere near the CTR.

Personally i would say the Leon Cupra R is the best factory hot hatch

Both lovely cars, personnally I'd have the Civic Type-R though not cause it's any better but just prefer them

Needs a newer version. Friend of mine came round in her 172 Cup Clio yesterday. Less than a year old and already has had 2 cracked engine mounts and a blown head gasket.

Ouch. The 182 has new exhaust system to give it 10bhp more, plus tweaks to the ECU

Corsa GSi, whats that then?

so they have dropped the 16v TU52J engine then and gone for the 8v? I wonder where they have got the extra 20 horses from then?

but in its original incarnation the 8v was 90bhp so thats 30 bhp on standard spec. Think they used different engine management for the 98,100 bhp versions, i know the same lump is in the rallye with 103bhp through a different cam/management. why would they use the 8v lump and have the hassle of tuning it to 120bhp when they could just use the newer 16v lump? I think autoexpress or whatever it was have got their facts wrong.

They have used the same engine in both cars but tweeked it a bit from what i can see

Overall its just going to join the ranks of being a normal hatch with nothing special about it. Its well and truly NO WHERE near a hot hatch.

For the same sort of money you can get quite a few cars that are better IMO.

Was quite disapointed with the VTS would have thought they would have got thier finger out and put a 2.0l in to keep with the competition and try and attempt to get as many sales as the saxo but it looks like they have just nor bothered.

The C2 VTR is NOT 125bhp.

The C2 VTR = 110bhp +sensodrive
The C2 GT = 110bhp + manual
The C2 VTS = 125bhp + manual
