A carrott does not get harder to catch,it will remain exactly the same distance away,in fact if it was on a piece of string running faster would cause more wind resistance,hence pushing further towards you.

Same goes for a rainbow,there is no reason why running faster makes it harder to catch,thus you are wrong again
