I thought there was gonna be one, in total vauxhall it gave a list of what vauxhall car were due to be released in the near future
The new GSI was one of them but 2 months ago the list that is usually there every month dissapeared .
Weird and nothin has been mentioned why, its more than likely gonna be a 1.6 turbo, IF they do it

Right to clear this up.
Corsa GSi 1.6 16v Turbo is NOT NOT NOT going to be released!!
1.6 16v Turbo Tigra WILL be released.
They are waiting to bring out the Corsa D to bring out a new engine. Whether it'll be the 1.6 16v turbo or 2.0 turbo with 170bhp are still unconfirmed.
Still, the new Astra will have the new 2.0 turbo with 1 model giving 240bhp from standard. There will also be another turbo option which i think is running around 170bhp.

why could they not keep the 'C' shape for a few more years and put the 240bhp turbo lump into that?? would be fookin rapid, and i'd certainly give serious thought to buying one.

And do you reckon the chassis could handle 240bhp through the front wheels. I think not. Daimo, i am highly suspicious of your comments saying the Corsa GSi will not be released. Show me the proof
I thought it was part of Vauxhall's new ethos to have a sporting number of each model. WE can expect hot versions of the new Tigra, Vectra, Astra etc etc, and hopefully will be badged as a VXR model, rather than GSi. The only model in the range that doesnt need a GSi version is the Meriva, but that does come in 1.8 SRi spec. So the fact that the GSi Corsa Turbo still hasnt been given a release date, i expect they are waiting for the new corsa to be released before creating the first turbo corsa.

My thoughts exactly - what kind of 2L engine needs a fcuking turbo to produce 170 measly horsepower?

an engine thats not going to suffer from any sort of noticable lag, and be able to produce good amounts of torque without the need for bigger horsepower.
