well in a 1.416v theres not much point revvin it beyond 4.5k cos peak torque is at 4k so your not gonna get much more out of it after that

aye but how much does it drop when you change gear??

idea is you want the car to be at the 4krpm/peak torque when you engage the next gear

hence why you need to take it to about 5.5k

just give up, vtr is faster and handles better, even if you manage to get it in a straight line it'll kill you on corners

Handles better? Standard vs standard yeh??

VTR's arent fast. I have raced one before and beat it. Driver comes into it alot when the two cars are very similar. I dont know if his was standard but i know i beat him, he knows it too

Mines got a stainless steel Piper exhaust system from cat to back, drilled air box, and a K&N panel filter. Recently had a full service too so its running sweet. I'll proove it at the Pod if any doubts me

im aware they arent the fastest car on the road by a long shot (although some owners ive seen have thought so!) but against an 8v sri there really is no competition. saying that, my mate has the 1.4 16v sport and that EASILY stays with my vtr up to around 100 or so, and even then mine wont pull much of a gap. I just think its stupid the amount of shit saxo's get on here, i dont go round looking for corsas to race to try and prove a point, neither are fast cars by a long way
