Thats what I did anyway, also, Id recommend doing the cambelt/rollers and waterpump on the engine unless youve had proof theyve been done.

I personally WOULD NOT DEAL WITH PVD.
They cocked up S1MON's brothers driveshafts, sent him Nova ones, the long one is the same length but the short one is a different length on a corsa. He's been waiting WEEKS for his now.
I'd say use Lee/J100/Beardy mounts, find ur own bearings, then CossVaux hubs/shafts.

corb, are those all the bits that i will need for the conversion then? PVD include an induction kit, which i already have, and what is a powercap?

replaces sfi box on the 2l lump.
can get one from regal or courtnay for a mantzle one, or apparently use the pipe that sits on top of the throttle body of the later ecotec 2l 16v engine.
are the hubs/shafts unique to this conversion or can you use bits from other vauxhalls to make up a kit on the cheap?

it's the bit on a red top that sits on the throttle body and circulates the air after it's passed through the air flow meter

I phoned round on Saturday checking prices.
Regal do one for £580, they have them on the shelf.
Cossvaux do one for £560 and £12 delivery, these are on the shelf.
Apparently you have to wait a good 6 weeks from PVD, what a joke

the cocked up my order my car was on axel stands outside lee's from january last year to march just waiting for hubs and shafts and no one ever chased the orders or got back to myself or lee. And when they did arrive they sent me nova ones in which lee had to go to northhampton to pick up my hubs and shafts in his own time
Some issues need to be adressed i reckon.

Bad news from the garage. My head gasket has gone, and it is leaking water reallllly badly, it was almost empty. Topped it up, left it running while they cleaned the engine bay, and it was almost empty afterwards! I really have to sort this out soon, so it looks like i might have to pay a few £ extra and get it from a different company cos it will still be cheaper than getting this engine fixed, or buying a run around for 2 months.
