second hand E36 Evo can be had for under 15k now, and these cars have some serious grunt!! Was just this saturday racing a TVR tuscan in an E36 Evo and it was a quality race, pulled on it slightly in second, doing over 70mph, then third through to about 110mph the two were neck and neck...

Comparing it to a roadster like the VX220 turbo is unfair, the performance is similar but only due to power:wieght ratios.

Personally I view them as leader of thier class, no other big cruising motorway/autobahn beast has a 5second 60mph time

He bought it second hand, its got Electric Sunroof, Kenwood headunit and cd stack....!

Yeah off a roundabout stuck foot down hit powerband, backend went and BOOM...

I love the look and performance and price now a days of the e36 m3, I couldn't give 2 fucks if they've got a stigma attached to them i'd have one in a second if I had the cash
