Pics of my old one, Has the same Chassis as the Gti although the rallye is lighter. The performance difference between the rallye and the Gti is not that great, thus i believe it would come down to driver skill if you were to race them head to head.

few simple mods to the Rallye and you have a GTi chaser, although im sure above 100mph a difference would be seen

You know it makes sense

My GTI will prob be lighter than a Ralleye as the interior now was sweet FA, wonder what the BHP, 0-60 and 1/4 miles times are

There used to be info from Peugeot on how to make the seires 1 Rallye quicker, the 1.3, it was a pamplhet showing modifications to the inlet system and exhaust options for motorsport etc. I would presume there was something available for the series 2 as there was a series in France.

If you look about the net you may find it in PDF.

I pay less than that FC on a 2.0 16v corsas, all mods declared like for like.

Ahh the joys of being a bit older.

Daimo - you have a good point, but do you really need to be so aggressive and condescending with your replies?

Nahh thats fair enough. My cars my hobby. By now, especially on my wages i could afford something much bigger and faster, but its a hobby. I dont see me selling my car for a looooooooooong time yet. Im sure Don and I will buy something sensible and quick for a runaround car when we settle down. But for the moment, we both love it.

And i wouldn't be goign to Germany in a few weeks time if i didn't love my vauxhalls
