My dad has the nicer interior by the sound of it, its not full leather. It's the half alcantara jobbie. I think its nice.

i love the seats in mine, i was just saying the dash is a bit boring, i think its mainly the basic stereo that needs replacing to spruce things up, but i cant warrant buying the head unit i want

Yeh the dash and centre console is a bit flat and dull. Although i like the dials when they are lit up. I like where the rear speakers are though. My dad has a silver Alpine HU to match the grey dash and white alcantara

My car is getting fixed up so he's letting me use his for the time being Love driving it. For a 1.8 16v it seems to just keep going. Brakes are also excellent.

Had a go in an ST170 as well, nice and quick but gears were a bit mushy and the dash board looks really cheap.

So i'm 95% certain its gonna be the 2.2 astra coupe.

Anyone else had a go in any of these?

Yes, me I own one... fantastic cars... super super quick esp in VTEC I quite enjoy it when it spins in 3rd in the wet (like today ) I'm 22 1/2 and have never has any probs... would like summat faster in fact... as for the ST170... dont even mention that in the same sentance as a CTR RS yes but ST170

You may be surprised how cheapinsurance is in fact... also my 53 reg 6 mth old black one is for sale now... check ma sig (due 2 housepurchase)

I'm 21 so am looking for a quick but insurable car. Things like the Focus RS just aren't gonna happen at my age.

Still can't believe how fast the little car was! Had the biggest smile on my face, and didn't wanna give it back! The thing about the civic is that it comes ready modded, so there isn't much i'd need to do to it. The astra coupe would need a few bits - GSI front and larger wheels.

Just depends what i can get a good deal on.

If you mean speed, u can hit 30-40 in first 2nd will do upto 50+ but thats as far as i could push it without being banned from the road.

I think if i do get one, i'll have to be really careful about the speed. Its just stupidly quick!

I'd highly recommend a test drive.

I didn't dare push it as all the roads we were on were 30 limits. Got to 70 without realising and was like woh!

Been looking around and they seem to hold their value well.
