is there no way of tracking where the email came from?
if this occurs again id just show the police it.. and let them deal with it and 4get about it.. ignore them and he wil get board

It can be traced I think using IP addrersses, so even though the e-mail did come form an anonymas address (i.e. lycos.co.uk) Lycos can give out the IP address of the person who sent the e-mail. More than likely it'll be some stupid little kid on his dad's PC at home... But the police could track it if they weren't on thier lazy fat arses all day long doing fuck all...
