leave the kenny 6x9s out and get some decent front comps and sub mate
tbh mate, you look pretty screwed, without paying silly prices Insurers wont believe that its your dads/mums car, unless there like 30 odd, in which case they maybe able to pull it off. So your gonna have to get your own insurance and it will be pricey
Worst off mate, lock it up in a garage for a year or so and get a cheap run about until you can afford the few grand a year insurance

He is in his 40's,
He was never questioned about his age when insuring my brother in his old car which was a modified 1.4 P reg VW golf.

ok thats a good deal mate but at the end of the day, its not your dad that gives the insurance, its the company, so they might get abit funny (depends if they look into it also). Also, if your dad is the main driver, then that what the policy is suppose to be, your dad drivers the car, yet you have use of the car on ocassions. But there is no proof of it, so most people get away.
But yea, mate, sounds like a good deal, but i would just be abit careful

Plus I have lowered it on a Bilstein suspension kit 40mm.
I could leave off the induction kit. Then it is no engine mods apart from the exhaust

yer visible is right. i was gona buy a modded saxo when i was 16 and put it on my mums name.
problem is, named drivers arent permitted to use the car to travel to/from a place of work or study, which was 90% of what id use it for. imagine how deep youd be in the shit if you ran over sum little nobber outside school???
your policy may be different to the one i was quoted, but either way,
jus watch your back and stay as legal as poss

I share my old dears car anyways, so in theory its hers (dads) but im just driving it about, so it all cool with insurance etc However, loads of peeps at school do what you were saying bill. They have brand new golfs, polos, corsa, focus's etc and their fokes are main driver. But if anything happens...as you put it "run over some little nobber" ( ) then you will be in the shits But it all does depend on insurers, so i would check your dads insurers T&C and small prints and see what it says about shared insurance. Then again, if you can get your own for 1200 a year, then ya laughing mate
