thanks for info guys, pillion would only be occasional so im not too worried bout comfort, would use my veccy for distances, bike is purely for fun. Really like that GSXR in blue and white seem to be around 4k for a 2000 model.

My mates is a 99T in blue and white, tis lovely with it's Micron race can. Think he's going to look at a brand new CBR600RR though

I have a gsxr 600....cant go wrong with them, and very fast! Bit uncomfortable through towns etc. cos of the pressure on the wrists, but when on open roads, and goin round twisties, theyre amazing.

2 stroke 250 very revvy very fast and light, BUT it would only benefit someone who's quite small imo.
I'm not sure on how true Ollies comment is, but they are very quick bikes.

Yes but this may aswell just be a track bike.
I do not care anyway I was just pointing out that rs250's are very quick for what they are and handle very well.

At lower rev range i think the 250 would b quicker but top end the R1 would melt it
