holy shite! 7800REV limit!!! crazy that would go of the standard rev counter woudnt it???
my Gsi has nothing after 5 and half revs so i dont bother redlining it anymore, not worth it! mind thou engine needs a rebuild and upgrading as its just standard at moment
Kris, what Bhp/ torque is your GSi running then??
how quick is your 0-60?? 7seconds??

yeah my figures are all WRONG, the way my cars set up the power is between my rev limit and 5000rpm, i stuck it on a shitty rolling road and he only took it to the standard limit 6500 i think, but the results it got were 139lb of tourqe and 132bhp at 6500, if ya took the line of the plot up to my limit it finished about 155bhp, and i know the power in my car dont drop off, the higher the revs go the harder it pulls lol,
Yeah straight off the standard rev counter, so after 7000rpm its just guess work, im running 17's so 0-60 aint too great, using my own stop watch i have done it in about 8 seconds dead, with 15's im sure it would be 7 summit
Oh and Lee you should had a F15 in ya 1.6 sport

what made me laugh was in TOTAL VAUXHALL, they did a big tech bit on all the gearboxes vauxhalls had, they listed the GSI as having a F17 gearbox, eerrr never seen yet heard of one in my life, am i wrong

add F13 and F28 to the list, one or two are CR boxes (close ratio) i know the early GSI's had the F15CR box fitted, mine aint though!!!

you should have the F15 CR box in ya motor, i would have thought its hard to tell cos i dont even think the boxes were stamped indicating they had close ratios. they would just say F15 on both boxes,

My Sport has pretty close ratios, it's quite nice, going from 3rd to 4th is good you don't lose a lot at all you can certainly tell the difference I haven't driven a WR Corsa but I can tell mine is CR.

I dunno bout mine... 1st is short..bout 20mph max...2nd goes to around 40-50 and 3rd pulls all the way to about 90... and mines a 1.6 sport so I dont think its a CR box

I'd mount a fook off boat sail on the car for these conditions in a 1.2 8v
