Last time I was at Alton Towers was quite a while ago: they'd just opened a fabulous new ride, which everyone was queuing up to go on......the ride?

Thunderlooper was ace, had to try and see if you could keep yer hands up right through the ride, wasnt as easy as it looked.....
Also, they have shut the skyride so you have to walk everywhere now  im not as fit as i used to be. According to a member of staff i spoke to, there were serious safety concerns over the skyride

All those rides are wank, you need the tower of terror at Dreamworld in Brisbane,
Definition of Terror
600 tonnes of steel
Plus 2.2 megawatts of power
Plus 160 kph
Plus 38 storeys
Plus 100 metre vertical free-fall backward
The 2.2 megawatts of power used at take-off is enough to supply a small town and for these six seconds, Dreamworld's power usage in the park doubles.
Riders experience 6.5 seconds of weightlessness.
The 'L'-shaped track stretches 330 metres horizontally - or the equivalent of three football fields.
The ride is propelled by electro-magnetic forces.

Skyride was fine.. but there was a crash on the monorail last year

Thorpe Park is slowly taking business away from Alton Towers. Plus both parks have some amazing plans over the next 2-3 years. Should see 4-5 new coasters between them.

nath that ride looks mental!!
Here is another pic of the Tower of Terror in Dreamworld, Brisbane. 42 storeys high. I went on it back in 2001, me and my mate had the last ride of the day on it, it blasted us off and on the way back down the primary brakes failed and we ended up 100ft away from the station in an emergency buffer zone. I cacked myself when i saw the station fly past going backwards 3 men had to push the ride back to the station so we could get off.
