Wouldnt bother me at all tbh...I wasnt arsed when we had NTL the same time as Rangers and Villa...sponsors are nowt but extra income into your club. Id love Newcastle to adopt a Barcelona stance and just go with a plain top...surprised they didnt go with a sponsor the amount of debt theyre in...

Nothing wrong with a sponsor but this decision by Arsenal has made me laugh a little
I think its good to have 1 and if it looks like a good sponsor then it makes the shirt look better and not so plain !
Just hope a football team doesn't get "tampax" or anything

premiership ticket sales have taken a significant drop this season, its the fitst time arsenal have done it in years

well it was a game just before the article was written so relevant you have to admit, unless of course there is another reason why all of a sudden the waiting list vanished for that one day. I suppose watching the smoggies play is enough to keep anyone away though

Thing is with 60,000 seats they can afford to charge less and people will make the extra effort when they see the Emirates Stadium.
I'm a Luton fan and i dont fancy getting a season ticket til we have a nicer ground.

Brillaint juts to piss chelsea off even more! That deal is nearly what chelsea have spent on players in the last 2 years!!
The atmosphere will just be better at this new stadium, shame on the name of emirates stadium but i suppose you have the reebok stadium and walkers stadium so it kinda ties in!
The extra seats will free up a few tickets for the 2005 - 2006 season! I cant wait!
However the old highbury is a cracking stadium for its day!

I disagree about the atmosphere. I dunno if its the same at Highbury but at Kenilworth Road (Lutons gorund ) we have one section near the away end which generates all the noise. If we moved then i dunno how that'd affect the atmosphere. I highly doubt they'll be seated near each other coincidnetally.
Still i could be wrong

I don't think its a sellout at all, in 20 years or so every stadium will be sponsored, likle in America... u cannot discard £100m - no club will IMO
I aint bothered about it being named, I think its a good idea... the name wont make for a shit atmosphere will it
Id much rather hav the £100m and buy asome quality players with it

lol theres nowt wrong wid watching boro play, espec not thsi season as were giving a few teams a run 4 it , gunners fans shud know that as we giv u a shock by coming 2 highbury ad taking the game 2 ya, which not 2 many teams hav done.
boro did have the stadium named after the sponsor but changed it afterwards, still got 2 say that no matter how many fans they get in that stadium still wont have any atmosphere. nvr been 2 watch i'v heard them sing 2 b honest :S

Ive been to Luton and i agree - had to walk through someones front door nearly to get in the ground
Although im used to siting in one of the best countries in the country week in week out so i guess im gunna be a little dissapointed when we go away
