Faulty DIS pack? Faulty ECU? I had a similar problem.. it was running for a while and just packed in one day.. replaced the DIS pack, plugs, leads etc... was ok for a wee while then just completely died...
Tech2 showed trouble code 55 (if I remember) "Replace ECU"

I had the same problems, it was the cranksensor. Make sure you buy the right one though cos theres different types.

crank sensor is the same in the 2.0 16valve 2.0 8v and 1.8v jus dont buy the ecotec one

have you checked the coolant temp sensor?
i had this a broke wire, changed sensore and repaired wire and started up after a few cranks perfect
