yes, this is the point, you never going to see the gain, unless your runnign a modded lump, and then you wont spend an awful lot of time a 124 mph anyway

no thats bollocks if its a 2.0 bored out to a 2.1, its a 2.1
simple, if its a 1400 bored out to 1430, its a 1430

My 1.4 16v and 16.16v both had F15's in them.
124mph would be about right with a f15 box.
My 1.6 hit the limiter in 5th at around that speed.

as far as im aware the F15 has a lower final drive but i think (whitout going to look at the boxes in my car, one working, one in the boot) the F15 hasnt got a insection cover to you have to take the box off to do clutch change

No the f15 doesnt have an inspection cover. It would be a waste of time anyway as the 16vs had dished flywheels!

As for the ratios i dont know them all of the top of my head and was too lazy to go and look.
Also the only real way to know what you have is to pull it apart and count it.
But
Here are a few examples
alll figures are ???:1 unless stated
1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th rev fd. (models fitted too)
3.73 2.14 1.41 1.12 0.89 3.31 3.94 (1.0l 12v 1997)
3.73 2.14 1.41 1.12 0.89 3.31 3.74 (1.2i, 1.4 16v, 1.6 16v, 1997. 1.6 16v, 1994)
3.73 1.96 1.31 0.95 0.76 3.31 4.18 (1.4 hi torq{8v} 1997)
3.73 1.96 1.31 0.95 0.76 3.31 3.74 (1.5TD 1997)
3.73 1.96 1.31 0.95 0.76 3.31 3.55 (1.7D 1997)
3.55 1.96 1.30 0.89 0.71 3.31 4.18 (1.2i, 1.4i hi torq 1994)
3.55 1.96 1.30 0.89 0.71 3.31 3.74 (1.2i e drive, 1.5TD 1994)
3.55 2.14 1.43 1.12 0.89 3.31 3.94 (1.4i 82PS, 1994)
3.55 1.96 1.30 0.89 0.71 3.31 3.94 (1.5d, 1994)
5 different examples of ratios fitted just in 1997
Edited to add 4 more examples from the 1994 range bear in ming i'm only looking at corsas and these boxes were also fitted to astras
