mk2 vtr's (2000 onwards) are faster 0-60 than a sport , dunno if the sport would catch up after that tho

Because the VTR is more comparable to the 1.6 corsa, VTS is a different league

driving a saxo will always be like driving a biscuit tin on wheels tho

because clearly the corsa is of the highest build quality ever
i have owned a 1.4 16v and now have a Mk1 VTR Silvertop Engine so 98bhp and the saxo wins on practically all things, handling and acceleration and top end
as for the people who have gsi's or 1.6 16v sports who are saying they eat vts's for breakfast or whatever then clearly they must have spent money on their engine, if you put the same into a vts it would be quicker

yes, it does take a lot of cash to get a gsi to have better performance than a vts, but spend 1.5k on a gsi and 1.5k on a vts and the gsi will be faster (if u spend the money on the right mods)
oh, and the build quality of a corsa is far better than the build quality of a saxo. my 10 year old gsi still feels solid and interior doesnt creek and rattle like most saxo's.

liar
u ever been in my car
no im not a liar. before u start mouthing off calling people liars, find out the facts! my corsa runs 155bhp and does easily pull past vts's, especially at higher revs. as the vts hits the limiter and changes gears, mine pulls past as i have a much higher rev limit.

Why would you compare a 1.6 16v and a 1.6 8v?
16v will obviously beat it once 2nd/3rd
What about comparing the 1.6 16v Corsa Sport and the 1.6 16v Saxo VTS?

Someone said this above, and it was ignored because its crap. VTS has 20bhp more than a standard 1.6 Corsa, but a Corsa with a nicely worked 1.6 would hammer the fook out of the VTS, just like it should have been when the 1.6 pulled over 150bhp standard

106/109 depending on engine, but during development they created over 150bhp

Well a PH1 vtr will push 90hp
Which last I checked was 19 less than the 109 Corsa Sport 1.6 16v
Yet we cant compare them as it has 20hp more?

You would not compare a 1.2 8v with a 1.2 16v would you?
