your F16 is pretty much the same as mine, just weaker
so if the F16 is close ratio it's better for 1/4 miles if it lasts long enough??
tbh i would go with a F20 if you plan to modify the engine in the long term otherwise your going to buy an F16 modify the engine blow up the F16 then need a F20 waste of money if you ask me

I've had both an f20 and an f16 and they are not the same trust me on this. And my f16 has been on mine for over 2 years. I can cross the line in 3rd on the quarter I used to have to change up with my f20

didnt say they were the same mate just said that the F16 was close ratio and probably better for 1/4 mile use if it lasted.. I personally would go for an F20 because as Adam says the F16 is weaker

I think its the amount of torque they can take, not bhp. 160ft lbs

F20's are ace Mine cost me £50 and had done 60k. 0 problems, not as punchy as my old gbox from my 1.4 sport but its still got reasnable feel and is nice to use.
Just a shame that its only good for 200lb torque

No point in putting an F28 on an XE. It will cost you:
- A Box
- FWD Conversion kit
- Change speedo ring
- New mounts
- New Clutch
- Labour to fit
Bet your looking near on 1k there!
I'd stick either an F16 or F18 on...
