i think we should all chip in 50p and next time someone is breaking a cav turbo, buy the shell etc off em and the 1litre 12v engine that is probably gettin removed from the cav, and make a 1litre 12v 4x4 cav, then get it posted on mig

Cavaliers absolutely rule. Ad rather have a cav turbo than a corsa any day... And I dont see how anyone can say they look shit:

but cav turbos are really really good cars, no matter what you say
theres less then 500 less i think
i personally love thme and would happerly sell the corsa to get a mint one
there very much a q car

There might be only 500 left but they treat them as if they only ever made 500.They were mass produced taxis and the majority have been broken through shite 4x4s and rust, but blinkered knobs go on at anyone for having the cheek to buy one and then use the engine.

And infinitely better suited to the engine in question, due to Vauxhall having spent millions developing the car for that very purpose.
Power can be put to better use also through larger footprint on road and 4WD system.
Plus is just a nice car and very nice to drive - but then Cavaliers have always been civilised little motors.
I personally prefer the ludicrously highly tuned, massive screaming revs normally aspirated 1600/1700 route for Corsa sized cars, but then i'm a bit of a traditionalist.
Just like I feel there should only ever have been a Fiesta XR2/i as the car is too small, short, twitchy and unweildy for the turbocharged engine, which is much better suited to the more controllable chassis of the Escort, I think that red tops and 2.0L turbos should be confined to the engine bays of MK II Astra GTEs, Cavalier GSI 2000s and Cavalier 4x4 Turbos (with the obvious exceptions of the odd Manta and Chevette) where God and Vauxhall intended them.
