If you get the right induction kit its fine

It needs to be oil - ie don't get pipercross ones

The only pipercross that is any good is the viper which I have cos its enclosed

Oliver, you get what you pay for. OMine is only a couple months old, and at a bargain price. You get manufacturers warranty, breakdown assistance, tax, no MOT for 3years. That warranty could be worth the extra if the extra fooks up.

I know a couple of your (jr, Jim, Mattb) work for Volkswagen, can you give her a low down on what to look out for, what to stay clear of and for the price range in mind can she get a decent car.

Danke

The golf... stay clear of ones with highmileage.. make sure the coilpack recall has been carried out. full dealer service history would also be good.
if she does go for one, look for one with recaro leather and climatronic.
but they arent the most exciting cars to drive.
the audi.. looks better imo but the interior of the golf is slightly better. same car mostly.
cupra R.. much better (and quicker) and more exciting to drive..

Also beware on audi a3's, if its anything like mine, your ecu will fail, throttle body will fail, maf sensor will fail, alarm will go off whenever it fucking feels like it, immobiliser will happily make a grand appearance at 50mph and cut the car out, closely followed by the alarm wailing and locking you in the car. Joys of owning an audi.

Oh, mines for sale if your interested, by the time ive fixed the alarm, it will practically have been fucking rebuilt from the ground up.

As you can tell, im a little pissed off.
