no buying a chip from regal was the silly thing to do.

Oh, and I have a VDO boost guage as well as a boost controler on my GT4, cos the blitz unit only shows some random figure which is close to Bar.
and when setting up the control its nice to have a PSI reading

no i got the cheap ass option... couldnt quite justify the £700 asking price for the colour one.
friend has it on his MR2 though and the actual unit is no more complex to wire in than any other controller. I found that tapping into the actuator pipe was the difficult part as it is located in a bitch of a place... and is like its been plastic welded on!! (obviously you have to put it back on pretty tight too as if you mess it up the wastegate will never open )
I got my controller from Racelogic but Ebay is the place to look for a bargain

yeah, ive seen the sbc-i colour for 450 on there, just with jap instructions which puts me off a bit.
looking into them for after the new year now, need to focus on the brakes and possibly changing the turbo to summit garret powered

I will find out if there are any hidden tricks with the I-colour... I expect you will need english instructions to use ALL of the functions...

I thought it would be a pain in the ass, but was much easier to do than expected
1) remove some dashboard
2) find a wire which is live when the lights are on... and connect red wire
3) earth the black wire
4) then pass the tubing through bulkhead, and tap into the correct pipe. Theres usually a few options for where to tap in..

dont need to remove dash! just need to find the grommet that goes through the buklhead and route it through!
u should be able to use the vacum that goes the ECU as well, T-piece that if its in the drivers footwell u are laughing! ;-)

cool, but if the dial sits on the top of the dash the cable will need routed somewhere to try and hide it..
might sit it at rhs of steering wheel and see if can route the cable under drivers footwell and look for a hose to connect it to...
cheers

mav get a single A pillar pod gauge. Dead handy to have the gauge mounted at eye level. These people that stick them in air vents etc must be bloody hazardous looking at them whilst driving in that position.
