Its best at the moment is a 12.7, but its changed since it did that last year.

It did one run with one driveshaft in IIRC back in the day, was in the 13's I think? I'll have to check. Nothing on what it could of done.

The reason it did snap a shaft at Pod is it had a welded diff and couldn't turn. To get round to the start line he had to wheelspin it, and thats when it went. Also to drive it down Will took a shaft out from the box so it would turn.

Tim I agree to a point but at the end of the day the engine never ran right and it took 3 years for that van to log any decent times on the quarter mile.

Cars that are close to it in terms of power or quarter times? As there are quite a few running BIG BHP now.

I was talking about "blingness" for want of a better word. Mental inlet, turbo, manifold (people slated an equal length tubular manifold, saying it was too long! ), management.

After this engine went out of it it sat in the unit for AGES. Then a 2.1 on twin 48's went into it.

well I would have thought the Issac Hunt (angry turbo) nova would be in that list of 'madness' for start.

yes but it was working and recording bloody quick times for a nova and ok not a LET I just find the whole fasination with an engine that never worked being seen as revolationary. Not having ago but I dont see the point.

The courtenay 4x4 astra was revoltionary but never really worked and was forever having problems, the same for the courtenay V6 turbo. I just see them as failures and if someone uses that information and draws from it to build a better idea then thats worth the hype.

I totally see your point!

But it DID work... just not in the public eye Will used what he learnt on that car to do a couple of cossie managed LET's.

Also I think he will use Pectal on his own Astra 4x4... when he finally finishes it. Just needs an engine.

Yes a LET I've a pic of it on my phone, it was ment to goto Trax in 2003 (yes thats not a typo), and the only thing stopping it going as a runner was no fuel tank as the fabricator ran over his deadline. It had crap paint and shit wheels, but would of run.

Since then things have happened, and its got forgotten about. But then earlier this year it got painted, and its not that far off being done!

So your going to be using the original Motronic ECU, and it will be live mapped and tailored to your exact engine specification.
