why are you comparing a car that was built in 1993 to a car that was built years later, of course the GSi is slow in comparison, vauxhall just made a car that was worthy of the hot hatch market at the time.

but both cars they mention are made of french tin foil, if a corsa was made of tin foil it'd go just as fast, a standard corsa out of the factory weighs more than a cavalier, and a saxo would dent in a light summer breeze,

++++ my m8 bought a saxo vts at the same time i bought my corsa sport and he's gone thru several gearboxes, driveshafts and other pish, whereas my car still merrily trundles along,

albeit not as fast, but his saxo doesnt go very fast when its lying in his garden fcuked!!

point made, now go play on the m1 u gimps

You are a sad cunt. Coming on corsasport just to be a prick. Lets see pics of your car then yeah? Well, when you reach the age of 17 and pass your test anyway.

Prick.

from what i understand vtr's are similar to gsi's in performance, as for build quality gearbox's are a weakness on the ph1 but mainly due to chumps who cant drive, as the saxo has sort of taken over from the nova with its core base of idiots

as i said above, it's just a different generation of hot hatches can't expect a car to be built well before another to be on par.

and as for drive shafts, the only people i know who brake them are people running massive amounts of nos or huge amounts of boost with turbos, yet again not what the shafts are made for, also they tend to have massive 18" alloys which doesnt help things.

Interesting point, maybe as a large percentage of saxos owned by 17 yr olds get the living shit hammered out of them thus having an adverse effect on the cars reliability record.

exactly. but no matter what people say there will always be arguments between the cars. and i wish people who say 'well if u put a 2.0ltr in a corsa itl be faster' would shut the fuck up lol cos thats jst stupid, u cnt compare standard saxo to a modded corsa

suppose then a comparison between a corsa c and a saxo ph2 would be more accurate, or a c2 vs corsa c
