TBH my accord wasnt to bad on fuel and that was bigger, heavier with more BHP and capacity. Just i was doing about 400-500miles per week in it in heavy london traffic
So the integra should be better i would think; the mpg wouldnt put me off one

My mate has a 1996 JDM Teg R, standard apart from a BMC carbon airbox.
Love the car to bits, totally import looking, and gotta love the 9k redline.
My other mate has a black DC5 with carbon bonnet etc - a lot nicer.

I agree. Slower by a small margin tho and less raw as a drivers car is the general consensus.

Looked at getting one for my 21st but you'll find it really hard to get insured (I'm 21 with 4yrs o claims and couldnt get a decent quote) and the same went for an EK9 Civic Type R which I actually prefer to the ITR.
Nice car though!!

EK9
I would have thought they would be more to insure than an ITR.
I managed to insure one at 21 with 1 years no claims. Do you live in the 'hood?

No, its actually a low risk post code. All EK9's are imports which is bad. But ITR's are still grp 18 or 19 I believe which doesnt help!

I can get insured now, at 20, for just under a grand on the UK spec model, to be honest I think this is the route I would take

I thought they were 20 mate
My car is group 18 and the civic type R (current shape) is group 17 but they won't insure me on the civic
I thinks its because the honda's are relatively cheap to buy new so many young lads have them - thus in the first 12 months if its a write off then its immediately replaced by the insurance company
I think insurance has alot to do with the cost of the car new - whether young people can affford them brand new
