either the mk 3 astra (although in standard form the suspension is very boat like). or what about a nova sri or sumthing similiar, quickish for what they are due to weight of them, would make a fun run around..

Mike engine size is not the only facotr in insurance groups

If your going to buy a car for £700 then realise your choice is limited. Plus i would be looking at not whats slowest but what is the best condition, most history, least rust. etc etc

As mentioned diesels seem to go on and on and on and on. So check them out

thanks everyone. jambo theres a shit load of cars on auto trader for that price. choice isnt limited at all.

thinking about novas now, although they are the kings of rust. lol

just had loads of insurance quotes and they were shocking. 1.8 is out of the question even on really old astras.

gunna be a 1.4 petrol, or i may go crazy and try to find a diesel.

i know you all say diesels run forever, but 178k miles is a hell of a lot lol

lol its a bit too poo that engine ally mate.

im trying to get away from that boy racer image and lower the chances of it getting robbed. so maybe going for the corsa or nova would be silly option.
