If you need help doing a Conversion Rich, I will be happy to help/Have a look, being just down the road and all.

I still haven't found who I was chatting to at the fire at PVS. But he was telling me to put in a 1.4 Engine, as asphetically they look the same

Progress looks cool! Tidy looking motor for £1k Should be well pleased!

Cheers mate. Yeh Im goin to the garage today to check out what the damage is to my engine. If its head gasket - I'll be looking at a transplant. For insurance though, I'll have to stick to a 1.2 as there's no way I can afford the costs! Bit more work to do if the engine is gonna stay ok aswel - if not, looks like I'll be gettin a new one during the year and starting from scratch

Drinking loads of water - entire reservoir for radiator empities within about 30 minutes of driving - no signs of leaks though Taking it in to local garage in a minute to get a fluid test and see how bad the damage could potentially be. I knew that with 127,000 on the clock it wouldn't be worth doing a huge amount to it, but I also didnt expect the engine to die quite yet!

With v good condition tyres, and the original spare aswel? Maybe a wee bit pricey, but they are a huge improvement over standard steelies and tbh, I did buy them about 6 months ago now?!

check under your oil filler cap, if its covered in white shit stuff then your head gasket is probably gone

Done so, it's not Hoping it may be a cheaper option of something to do with either the thermostat or waterpump tbh!

Had the fluid test done this morning. Have been given the all clear on the Head Gasket, However, it is the Water Pump and Cambelt that are knakered. Thus meaning I am parting with £170 for a new Water Pump, Cambelt, Pulleys, Fluids and a general service (as I am too lazy to bother servicing it myself atm!)
