is she even meant to be turning right there? if it is as wide as you say then surely its not mean for joining onto another main road?

Jason im sorry but your completely wrong how can it be his fault, if you were on a main road doing say 40 in a 40 limit, and there are loads of side roads with cars in, i dont think you would slow down for every car incase they pulled out, that certainly isnt what they teach you when your learning to drive because for one, your braking the flow of traffic.

I said the central stip is 20 inch wide!! Is you car 20 inch long? She panicked because of cars that may hit her on the two lane and so she continued moving into the one lane road.

So you could see she was stuck between the verge and road and kept on driving not let her in???

I did not say I saw her sitting there. As I was approaching the crossroad she did all this ... I braked hard but damn it. She wasn't even looking at me!! Would you risk crossing a two lane and entering the one lane without any indicators flashing? and I assure you, you have to fully steer to enter the one lane. The road as it is, is NOT meant to go directly to the other side + there was a roundabout 500m away so it wasn't a long way.

She wasn't in a side road she was heading across the road towards him?

Ok, there is still no grounds for it to be his fault you could say he should be more aware but she probably shouldnt be turning right there, and if she is she needs to wait for all three lanes to be clear, if the middle is 20 inchs i agree she probably panicked and just turned out.

I can see Jase's point, you have to treat every other road user as an idiot, and exoect the unexpected.

Despite that however, when something like this happens and its time to play the blame game, it comes down to the simple fact that the woman should not have been where she was, she was responsible therefore for the collision.

as a general rule of thumb the police view the person who hits the other car as being at fault if they feel you had enough time to observe and avoid her erratic driving
