4k scooby would be an older one, prob about 95-96 at tops for a decent one. you know an xe is the best option

Sold mine for £4k 6 months ago. It wasnt the best but it (imo) looked cracking & went rather well!!
You could get a good import for that money, or an early mitzi Evo 2/3

yeah thats the one, 182bhp ish the now, exhaust manifold is cracked, fmic leaking, once they're sorted and remapped, should be 200bhp + i love it.

might have a look round a few garages.....
bought the T4 for 4k 8 months ago and spent about 2k on it on mods and wee bit on servicing, never went wrong though..

Best car ive had or drove, I will have another one some time in some shape or form!!
Only obsessivly costly thing is the petrol, parts were average, servicing was average with an oil change in between. If the wifes got a bairn mobile then problem sorted....just use that for any long trips
