conflicting arguments
150bhp would be more than enough in a 1.6 sport, and as Dave said 150 is achievable easily with TB's but i do not want to lose the reliabilty too much or i would may aswell get another XE conversion.??
Butu I know as soon as you start tuning reliabilty will suffer

best setup would be a near std x16xe on TB's
(arp rod bolts, uprated rollers)
then uprate cams etc as and when.

Sorry, I have no first hand experience of either in a Corsa, but surely a standard 2 litre is going to be more reliable than a tuned 1.6?

good to know Adam...it really is in my mind...
Maybe if i tuned the T4 a wee bit i wouldn't want to sell??? prpbably would though i suppose
Kano
Ryan XE's are old engines and alot of the time you don't know history when you get one in car or out..unless you want to spend time rebuilding it..Then there is everything else as in fitting kits shafts etc etc...
But I couldn't fault my Xe saying that.

rob - a diff is alright on road use...
Could have said the witty response too.... ' I think you will find your car drives a lot better with some sort of diff in it'

teddy -
Its possible but pretty deadendish.
You'll have to have the car reving its tits off with some lairy cams and new inlet.
Pop some TB's on..... that will give a much better base to build on
