nissan pulsar gtir came with throttle bodies and turbo as standard.
theres a peugot 306 gti6 up here with throttle bodies and a supercharger.

isnt there a problem with getting the same amount of air into each cylinder when using the sealed plenum, the body furthest away from the inlet opening receives less air than the one closest?

No because the pressure is uniform all the way through the plenum. Think of it this way - if you inflate a baloon you don't have floppy bits and really hard bits. The whole thing inflates to be round because the pressure inside it is equal.

And they are still throttle bodys, you still have an individual butterfly or barrel with it's own branch into the engine. In fact, there are a few n/a setups which have a plenum and single filter in a similar way to a turbocharged setup.

it does become o problem on bigger engines such as a straight 6 or v12's
so the shape of the plenum is altered to help. it tapers to a narrower shape at the furthest point from the inlet.
