Vinyl the door pillars and boot. Big front brakes, rear disc conversion maybe? And some Vauxhall headlight protectors. Not really alot else you can do an almost perfect car

I reckon you should put a private plate on it, some orange indicators all round, standard gsi wheels, and put all the vinyls on, so it looks like a brand new, standard GSi.

What engine is going in there if you are getting rid of the 8v? I quite like the fact it has a 1.6 8v. Seems more in keeping

anthracite the speedlines
some sort of front splitter
a pilllar and boot vinyl
dtm cup mirrors
only if i fancied a change though, spot on as it is mate, used to have an sri identical to that, gsi kit dropped 60mm on speedlines, classic and timeless look.

If it was mine I'd strip it, fit a C16XE, wide arch it and track prep it
But its not, so I suggest 4 pots on the front, a C16XE with a lexmaul or mantzel, louvred bonnet, euro rear cluster, remove side reps and smooth over the holes.

One other thing I would do, but you probably wouldn't agree as you are building a GSi there. But I love it when the ridges are smoothed out of the bumpers. Gives the car a bit of a modern twist...
