Slight update. CAmera batteries ran out though.
Cabling all pulled out.
Spongy Level 1 sounds deadening out. (all stuck down)
Panels all out now too (required hammer and flatbladed screwdriver ) The bolts hold the exhaust system brackets up.
Damn camera
All internal panels, all cabling out, sound deadening out of the doors and rear 3/4. I've decided to leave the A, B and C pillers, plus roof lining in as i've got a sunroof. Going to leave gearstick surround in as well...
Picked up a whole Corsa loom as well tonight (cheers Fad ).
Guess next up, get it either started and up the drive somehow, or get it towed out and arrange a booking with LMStyling to get her fired up.
Deffo needs some carbon panels to cover the inside though Looks awful currently. Cabling is FS in classifieds..

Strange, you have some kind of sound deadening under the rear seat area, I thought this to be the standard corsa sound deadening and was a mare to get off? Heat gun job.
Mine just peeled of in large chunks. Got to finish that off, but doesn't weigh much.
Probably in total today, maybe 10-15kg with door panels, plastics etc? Below 1 tonne, woooo...
Noath, track toy, but in stages. Engien stays standard. Want to get it running ok, then take it on track, then upgrade bits like ARB to see if it really does make a difference on track.
I.E this will be loooooooong term
Outside staying as it is, need to get the new bonnet sprayed, wing redone (dropped bike on it and pushed wing in doh....), boot re-smoothed etc.. But firstly i just want it working. Will take out seats and replace for buckets, and sell the whole interior in 1 go.
Cage eventually, spray inside purple to go with the car. I.e Tarty track car

would it not of been an option to buy a 300 corsa with blown engine, cheap xe lump and stick it in, then keep your car as a show car?

Aye, skirts weigh loads, but it'll still be lighter than an astra GTE/Calibra, the cars originally used to run the engine. AS i say, aiming for 950kg.
A turbo corsa isn't good for teh track imo, and nope, would be far more expensive to do. I don't want another corsa, i want to play with this one, or it'll be stripped for parts.
Sorry Stavs, kits staying, i love teh look, took me 4 years to get there as it is
Doh, just read your reply JR
