its an am thats sits up beind the air box, its and amp for the coil, that sits on heatsink, with a special bocsh coling paste

the paste keeps the amp cool, and the paste is kept cool by a feed or the airbox, when people remove airboxes ive seen these amps overheat and melt, but not all 20v have them

I haven't got a clue to be honest James.

The only things connected to the old airbox was the maf and the breather hose, christ knows about anything else!

Ahhh...now you mention that when my EML light was on i had a fault code that was to do with the "secondary air system- incorrect flow" which has something to do with warming the cat up i believe?

But the fault code was cleared and since the filter has been fitted the EML hasnt come back on and i've done about 60 miles of driving....so here's hoping the little bugger dont come back on!

I've got an enclosed air filter, so no airbox, and haven't encountered any problems yet.

My bay:

Hurrican Induction Kit, and a Forge DV007P, which you might not be able to see in that pic.

Sounds fab.

Thats it, wot vac hoses has the car got??? Are they the original ones?? If so get em changed, it was the first thing i done tbh, when me and my brother were doing it although the old ones looked alright they had turned so brittle they were snapping!!!!!! One of these vac hoses can cause the eml and secondary air injection system bollox come up!!

And well done keeping the engine cover!!!! Looks much better with it on!!

Yes it's a Momo Seat Sport strut brace, which came with the car- added bonus!

When the recirc was being fitted i had all the vaccum hoses replaced with clear pipe.

I remove this as it tends to get wet and gammy after a while.
