daimo, this is corsasport, every other car that isnt a vauxhall is faster than a vauxhall, so yes, vrs will slaughter a vxr

Well it has the same torque for a start

This was from rolling 50-60 onwards. If it had been from standing start i would have got roasted but this is the way it happend.

The VRS is truly a hidden gem and i'm glad i've got one.

Quality, it is as well. Im still spunking on it as we speak...

Im just confused...

Ours pulls no end on one of them Octava VRs thingys, the don't stand a chance at all..

Yet our standard VXR looses out only slightly to a 350z.

But havne't you got the same lump as the VRs Octava?

Just confused here?

No, the old octavia vrs is a 1.8t petrol, the new one has the 2.0 diesel iirc.

Your vxr beats as much as steves leon though.

300! any increase in torque, what have they done to get the extra power?

These cars have really grown on me recently, prefer it to the new TT.

The old VRs Octy is a 1.8 20VT lump, the new one is a 2.0 TFSi lump out of the golf GTi, and tbh they aren't all that, i drove one when my brother's work had an open day, The Fabia VRS is a diesel.

Tom in all honesty I think they look a little unfinished and weedy as standard. A set of decent 19s and suspension setup really improves the look. Just needed to be a bit more meaty as standard IMO. Is a great car though!
