the fluid has nothing to do with it
i reckon ive seen well over 100 cars with it, happens all the time
its the caliper carrier, the lube burns away, and if they havent been cleaned the claiper moves across the carrier making the noise
the lube only goes away of the brakes have been heated up to much

Only want to upgrade to get away from the brake problem...
They can't fix it and I don't see whay I shoudl be penalised.

Aye but this morning you made a thread about wanting to upgrade but didn't fancy having 1k+ negative equity and never mentioned the reason being cos of the brakes. Then now there is a thread saying you want to reject the car and get the 1.9...

I bought the 1.4 Active Sport and now I want to get rid of it
Didn't state about the brakes but did say I wanted shot of the car, not trade it in .
The fact I said "get rid" showed undertones of hatred

but brakes get hot, use better lube... I would have thought the manufacturers would have thought about that one?
I never had issues with my brakes squealing, and they were always hot...

either the carrier hasnt been cleaned - BRAND NEW MOTOR SO NOT DIRTY I WOULD HOPE
or
the brakes have been overheated, lube dissapears and noise, it only has to - 70BHP CAR - NOT THE FASTEST IN THE WORLD SO NOT A LOT OF STRESS ON THE BRAKES

I cant see you backing the car on brake squeal, like i said its not even warrenty, just telling you from a motor trade perspective
there is an issue with the brake lube/carrier and to do 2 sets theres an issue with the prep work/or the drving

Setbelt manufacturers not relising that a seatbelt might be put underload in an accident......oh well, just leave it might never happen

yes they do, hence some cars you never have an issue
but some are either driven badly, or prep work of the second set of pads fitting has been poor and caused another issue

although having read your thread this morning I agree with Matty G that you just wanted to change to the diesel for various reasons and backing the car is a pretty crap way of going about it

it CAN happen all all cars, my lupo did it, corsas dont, this and that can, everything could potentially have brake squeal
